I’m Doris Peters, and I’ve proudly served as a conservative on the Ohio Republican State Central Committee, representing District 23—and as Chairman of the Ohio Platform Committee, I helped fight for the principles that keep our party strong and our state free.

Because of redistricting, I’m now running to represent District 24, and I’m ready to keep delivering results for Parma, Parma Heights, Middleburg Heights, Berea, Brook Park, Brooklyn, Strongsville, North Royalton, Broadview Heights, North Olmsted, Olmsted Falls, Olmsted Township, and parts of Cleveland.

This race is about standing firm for conservative values, holding the line against the left, and building a Republican Party that wins—locally and statewide. I’m in this fight, and I’m ready to lead.

The Issues I Will Fight For As Your Representative

I Will Fight for Lower Taxes

I’m fighting to rein in runaway taxes and put power back where it belongs—with Ohio families and homeowners. As a member of Citizens for Property Tax Reform, I didn’t just talk about the problem—I went to work, collecting hundreds of signatures to put property tax reform on the ballot in Ohio.

I’ve also taken on government overreach head-on, fighting to abolish Cleveland’s red-light and speed-camera law, which punished drivers and padded government coffers. Ohioans work hard for their money, and I will always stand against unfair taxes, fees, and schemes that treat taxpayers like an ATM.

I Will Defend Our Security & 2nd Amendment Rights

I believe the Second Amendment means exactly what it says. I’m a proud member of the National Rifle Association, and I strongly believe every law-abiding American has the God-given right to defend their family, their home, and their property.

As your representative, I will always stand with responsible gun owners—not politicians who want to weaken our rights or leave families defenseless. Our freedoms don’t come from the government, and I will never vote to surrender them.

I Will Stand for Life

I am unapologetically pro-life. I serve as President of Suburban West Right to Life, an organization that shows up—at local parades, community fairs, the Fourth of July parade at Kamms Corners, and the Cuyahoga County Fair—to stand for the unborn and to support mothers and families.

I also volunteer at a local crisis pregnancy center, because protecting life means offering compassion, resources, and real help. Every life matters, and I will always fight to protect the most vulnerable among us.

About Me: Doris Peters

I grew up in Lorain, Ohio, in a working-class family. My father was a steelworker, my mother a homemaker—and they taught me the values of hard work, faith, and personal responsibility that still guide me today.

After my first husband passed away, I raised my son and daughter in West Park, where I became deeply involved in the conservative movement as co-leader of the West Park Republican Organization. Politics wasn’t theoretical to me—it was about protecting families, neighborhoods, and the values we believe in.

After marrying my husband Mike, I moved to Parma, where I was elected President of the Parma Republicans. I worked to elect strong conservative leaders, including Republican Councilman Kevin Kussmaul and three conservative members of the Parma City School Board, because local leadership matters—and elections have consequences.

Everything I’ve done has been about building a stronger Republican Party from the ground up.

What Is the Ohio Republican State Central Committee?

In Ohio, the Republican State Central Committee is made up of one man and one woman elected from each of Ohio’s 33 State Senate districts. This is a volunteer body that serves as the Board of Trustees of the Ohio Republican Party.

As members, we meet quarterly to elect the Party Chairman, oversee party finances, and endorse Republican candidates for statewide office. These decisions shape the future of our party and determine whether Republicans win—or lose—across Ohio.

This role isn’t ceremonial. It’s where conservative activists have a real seat at the table. And I’m running to make sure our district continues to have a strong, principled conservative voice fighting for Republican values and Republican victories.
